No, and why is this a question important enough for a new topic, can't you live without the vanilla factions

I think it was because of a lack of ideas (maybe) and the restriction of the Generals engine to 4 generals for each faction

a General in Remix has 4 tech levels, a 13 minute build tree, and 2-4 super weapons.
a Vanilla general has 1 tech level, a 3 minute build tree, and 1 super weapon.
There is no way to make this balanced. Vanilla generals have no place in Remix.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

As the name suggests, Vanilla is ... drab.
Plain.
Dull.
Borning.
Mind-numbing.
Sack of wank.
Call it what you will, but it all gives the same meaning. All the factions have their Vanilla roots still in them, with their own unique twist of what that general is.
