Hey Guys,
everytime we play Remix Escalation over the LAN 1vs1 after exactly one Hour the Game prompts the message:
You´ve just been completely Boned by EA´s crappy network scripting
What does this mean and how can we fix it?
In normal General ZH ( no Mod ) this Problem doesn´t occure.
Thx Tomcat

Well, there isn't much to do about it, it is what the Message says period.
It's a lot of bad coding on EAs part, there have been tries to cut down on the poblems but it's not possible to get rid of them completly.
Serious Error Messages have more to do what the modders did, but even not always.
And does it really happen everytime after one hour? I mean did you look on the watch?
And also what version are you using?

Yes it´s exactly after one hour.
We have noticed this now for more then 5 times. And it´s always after exactly one hour.
Generals Version is 1.8 Zero Hour 1.4 and Remix 0.9 ( in 0.75 it happens too )

The problem was in the core game, the mod just ups the headcount on units. But I've seen mismatches in Vanilla ZH, Battle for Middle Earth 1/2, CnC3, etc. The sage engine has network problems and EA hasn't fixed it.
There were some changes to the gamedata.ini that made the game a little more tolerant of mismatches, maybe if I raise those numbers to stupid silly high values it will help... like allow a billion seconds of latency.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

The 'You've been boned' message is our way of informing you that EA's shit coding and work on Zero Hour has caused a mismatch and the game is out of sync with both computers. (Rather than the original message saying 'A mismatch has been detected')
Mismatches used to happen frequently in Vanilla. It's an original problem.
It might happen a bit more in Remix because there are places for mismatches to occur; i.e particles, FX etc.
Happening exactly after 1 hour; hmmm Pendaelose might have more of an answer!
I've had LAN games over Hamachi over an hour long before. I'll try with the new version
