This is how all Moria structures that are based on rocks rising from pits of lava from the underground, are leveling up in Dc. Cracks and crevasses with lava is shown when the structure is "fresh" and newly risen at lvl1. They go away when the building and soil cools down for lvl2, and structure extras like towers are finally erected at lvl3...

I have to say, I'm a little dissapointed that only the lava goes away from rank 1 to 2, and nothing more, but realisticly it's pretty much a good thing :p

It goes from 3 to 1 :wink_new: Well I could perhaps add some subtle smoke FX to the idle model at lvl1... the biggest change about this is that the vanilla game lacks level states for some structures (like the Cave and Fissure for instance), so this is a small but useful fix for that.

True. Perhaps I just love rank-visible-changes to much :p
And I meant that I don't like the lack of more rank-visible-changes from rank 1 to 2. Only the lava goes away. From 2 to 3 there is a tower that get's there ;) I'm very well aware that ranks go from 1 to 3 :p

I think we're not really getting eatchmother here... lol. Everybode knows ranks (levels) go from 1 to 2 to 3 and I know you know that ;) I simply meant that I've moved the BIB with lava from lvl3 to lvl1 and changed into a lave-less bib for lvl2 and 3. With the tower at lvl 3 (like before) we get 3 stages when leveling up, and not two equal (like the fissure: lvl1: brown goo, lvl2: brown goo, lvl3: green goo). Hope you get what I'm saying. It's not mage super coding marathon, it's just subtle polishing changes, but more fitting for the final result =)

Rank 1: Obvious
Rank 2: The lava goes away, nothing else is changed
Rank 3: The tower is added

I know this. That's what I said first, I'm dissapointed that the only change from rank 1 to rank 2 is that the lava goes away.
I'm more of a "I want more visible changes" per rank. You only have 1 minor there, and that is the lava going away.

I've understood what you meant, but I didn't explain myself to your understanding :p

 okok, well maybe I'll fiddle with some more FX. We'll see. The main thing is that there ARE 3 levels and not 1, 2, 2, or 1, 3, 3 or 1, 1, 3... yeah you get it =)

Looking nice. It's maybe a bit strange for someone who's used to see the lava cracks on lv3, but it also makes sense your way around.
One suggestion though: Try the Treasure Troves eye-sockets in black. It's easy to change on the skin and looks way better in my opinion.

By the way, welcome back in business Naz. ;)

Yeah well I was kinda hoping that most ppl have (or will) play the vanilla game A LOT, before trying SEE. That's makes it even more to discover in all those small, subtle, but yet important changes (in my opinion) toward "realism" And thanks... after 3 years I sort of accepted the fact that this mod lives or dies with me, and the latter is not an option. I just wish coding wasn't so time consuming :ninja:

I think its brilliant, and really like the look. perhaps the level 2 could have the lava cracks at a cooler stage? just a thought but I like it the way it is now. :wink_new:

They could, and it crossed my mind, but that would require yet another model for the bib (ground) so perhaps I'll ad that in final polishing stages later on. Atm there's one model with the lava texture for lvl1, and one model without for lvl2 and 3. For now this is good enough, but I will most likely expand it later on

After many train rides... this is my final conclusion on the level ups for bibs in Moria's lava based structures (Mine/Tunnel, Goblin Cave, Fissure & Trove). First stage with fresh cracks of lava. Second stage starting to cool with black/red colors and finally sun bleeched (bare with me here, lol) rock-ish color. This is what they all get and I won't fiddle with it ay further :sleepys:

Great job , Nazgûl ! That's really much more realistic now .
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.[1]

I'll see if that's possible... if the spikes are separate models attached, like the tower

Yeah :wink_new: Now my Asset Cashe Builder broke down though. Have no idea how to fix it, so I'll ask RG tomorrow if he might know... It says "Access denied", "Can't find file" etc... :omg:
