It's actually more focused on Christmas shopping, but yea. Just ignore everything Abraham Lincoln wants you to celebrate and everything will be fine in life.

It's a day designed to rile people up through bogus sales. Black Friday sets off my bullshit detector right away and I've never once gone shopping on one and never will. If I want something, I'll hunt for online deals. Besides, Black Friday is just another stupid shopping day with nothing special except a name and hype. Not sure where some of these dark shots about Black Friday came from, but it doesn't hurt to read the Wiki page on it first:

Sure there's some negative things people don;t figure, but ultimately it's just a day to stimulate the economy through mass mercantile commerce. The Great Chain and so forth...

And yet once again... I saved hundreds of dollars on a brand new TV. Getting stuff below manufacturing cost isn't really a scam unless you're buying a lemon. The TV doesn't quite run like a lemon.

Hmm... maybe. I can see people actually getting jipped just because of the fuss and they think they're saving. But you'd be surprised how meticulous people get during BF-Day. Don Cloud and his wife had a bag filled with magazines from the entire year showing what prices were and what they became on Black Friday. But usually stores like Walmart don't jip people, but some deals are better than others. People get so nuts about the whole thing, they're pretty keen on what's a good deal or not.
