Problem and questions : Worldbuilder rotwk

I have downloaded a map of the middle earth.I would want to know:

1)how can i put again (now is removed) the fog of war?

2) how can i increase the max number of resources and command points

3)The ai don't build factories (i had same problem when i download this map years ago) how can i do to teach it to build them?


p.s: i tried to open my middleearth map with the worldbuild but when i tried to open it nothing happens i can't see the map...i'm using the worldbuilder of rise of the witch king.I go to my files of the rise etc then i open the middlearth..map, nothing happens.i'm using windows 7. i have the italian version of rotwk.Practically, when i tried to load the map, nothing happens i see only a grey land withought nothing.

1. You'll have to make a script along the lines of

**IF** True.
**THEN* Reveal the entire map permanently for <All Players>


I don't have ROTWK, but if it's mostly the same as BFME2 WB, it should be under Map > Shroud or Reveal in the Scripting menu.

2. Well you can increase starting resources/command points in the skirmish menu when you play the game, but if you want to increase them further, you need to script them too.

**IF** True.
**THEN** Set <All Player>'s money to $___
(Under Player > Money)

**IF** True.
**THEN** Override command points for player to ___
(Under Player > Command Points)


3. Not sure what you mean by factories. Is that a building only from ROTWK? If so, i don't know why the map would be causing the AI not to build them, unless there's a script that's restricting anyone from being able to build them. Have a look in the scripts and see.

4. Are you sure you saved the map correctly? When you go to open a map, it should be listed under the User Maps tab, not System maps/Bases/Libraries. If it's in one of the others, you'll have to reopen it and resave it in the right location.

thanks for the point 1 and 2.For the point 3 and 4.

POINT 3) i made a mistake i'm italian and we say fattoria(that in english is farm)a word that is similar to factory! :grin: i meant the ai in this map doens't build farms (to generate resources) how can i tell to ai to build this type of building?

POINT 4) my problme is that my worldbuilder can't load the file .map located in my files lord etc maps.I don't know why, when i try to load a map nothing happens! maybe the cause is because i have the italian version of rotwk?
update for point 4: i installed battle for the middle earth2 in english on another pc with windows vista and the worlbuilder worked...so the problem is because i have an italian version of bfme 2 and rotwk...any solution?

problem 3 update i found a tutorial that tol me to add the farm templates, i added a lot of them but the ai didn't build farms....why? should i specify which player owns a specific farm template?

also in my game i noticed that the ai didn't build a structure for siege weapons and also it didn't build heroes why?

The farm templates should be on the civilian team i believe, so you shouldn't need to specify players. Does the ai build farms okay on other maps? Are you playing a mod? Did you check the scripts for any farm-restriction scripts?

What difficulty setting is the enemy? They might not build some heroes/siege weapons if they're on easy (or even medium sometimes). Again, check to make sure that there aren't any scripts on the map that are preventing players from building these things.

If none of that works, i'm not sure what else to suggest. I can't think of any other reasons why the map would cause the ai to not build certain units/buildings. If it's a mod, it might be a problem with the ai, which isn't something i could help you with.

Also in my middleearth map the ai doesn't build fortresses?,why?

my computer has a problem with the world builder. Map before I could do and could save them. But now I can not save. Go to the link I gave in the following figure as in the photos are coming. Please help me. Why can not I register. I did not understand. If you're someone who knows explain. I do not know english very well. Therefor simple sentences please. And please do not do abbreviations.

I know The Battle for Middle-earth does not like diacritics so perhaps Worldbuilder does not like the name of your folder?

 

Have you tried to "save as" a map in a folder that does not have in its name or the path a diacritic? Try saving the map in C:/ ?

 

I do not know if the folder name is the problem.

Yeah, I've also seen this with the server. They didn't implement Unicode support so there are a lot of problems with non-ASCII characters.

Hello everyone,

 

I have a question...

I´ve been developing many maps across the time and i am struggling with a think, how can i configurate a horde/army to arrive in the battle...

Like in BFME1 campaign mode in minas thirith mission that we had to wait about 10 minutes to call reinforcements from rohan.

 

Hope anyone can help me with this, waiting for a reply,
