"Modding" isn't a simple task you can make a real tutorial for. It's a combination of hundreds, or even thousands of smaller tasks, and the most valuable skill a modder can have is the drive to find his own answers and then follow up with some trial and error. 15 minutes on google can find you a wide range of tutorials... given that any mod project is going to run you hundreds of hours in labor, those 15 minutes shouldn't be a roadblock to you.
I could teach you how to copy paste an old unit into a the code, and how to add the buttons to make it available, and I could teach you how to use each of the several hundred behavior modules, but I could never teach you "how to mod". Once you find some of the basics and learn the right questions other modders will take your inquiries more seriously.
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Thanks:) when i said 'how to mod' i meant it generally (as in a website with tutorials for all the little things). is there a q & a I can go to for those tasks you mentioned? Specifically (at the mo) giving abilities to other units- making burtons charges do emp and damage When detonated and disable the building they are planted on. Ive tried making a new weapon, but it still plants c4 charges.:(
EDIT: done.
