Hi,

I would like to ask whether if there is any digital distrbution system offering Lord of the Rings Battle for the Middle-Earth? I lost my old original disc and now I can not find any reseller in my country that would have this game. I can only find Amazon having it listed but I have no experience with Amazon at all :(

Side note: Is there any legal way how to play game without having to insert disc in drive?

I am not sure if I post in proper section. If not I am sorry. I am not yet familiar with forum structure.

Amazon is trustworthy, order from there.
Otherwise, try to check around in local stores for the game or a Complete set (BFME1 + BFME2 + RotWK). I bought mine at GameStop, they might still have some around where you live.

I've used Amazon a lot.
I've never had problems, from books, games to hardware and phones ;)
Just make an account and buy the game :)
If you do have problems, then you can report a problem to Amazon :p
Otherwise, try buying what Lauri said as that is the only BfME which has the most prints

Complete sed has no issues with mods? I know some games packed with expansions or in compilations have certain difficuilties when instaling mods (Command & Conquer Saga for example)

I guess I will try Amazon. Thanks for your response.

No, this complete set is just the package. It contains 4 discs, 1 for each game and 1 for the manuals :p

I think it's legal to just download the game, as long as you've previously owned it :)

I was under the impression, that it is legal to download the game IF you install it using a legitimate CD Key, and run it using a disk and not a No-CD Crack.

Don't think it's legal to download it at any rate, simply because you download an illegal version of it.

However, the game can hardly be bought these days, so I won't shoot anyone who's owned the game before and has to download it because EA doesn't have it availiable anywhere..

well on amazon the whole disk pack brand new costs 200 bucks so... When i bought all the games (i bought them all twice, LOL) I spent 200 on double copies for all the games and now for only one copy of each game it costs the same price and it is kinda insane... If i were you i would download the torrent and install it using a keygen...

249$ to be exact... wow, didn't believe you at first.

Just download the game. If you still have the manual and cd-key, use that when you install it for optimal measure. But since it costs 249$, whatever :p

I also noticed it is quite expensive. Even the standard version not to mentione those 250 for the set :flame:

When looking on Amazon I have noticed this:

If you would like to play this game in 64-bit Windows and save a lot of money, please see our used listing, below, for a handsome 4-CD set with fixes included to enable you to play on the most recent versions of Windows. The set listed here is a factory-sealed box in excellent condition, and also includes our setup to enable you to play in 64-bit Vista/ Windows 7; this includes two game updates and step-by-step installation instructions, written for computer novices. We'll even show you how to trick the game into running wide-screen, rather than its normal 4:3 ratio with black bars on either side of the screen.

Anyone having some experience with this? I am having Win 7 64b Prof.

Btw: Ironic thing is I still have BftME2 Collectors Edition (at least I see box on the shelf) :whatoa:

I downloaded the mod last time I reinstalled.
My 2 main sets of discs are scratched to the extreme and I couldn't find my good copy.
I think if anyone can download the game it should be me I own 3 legit copies. :p

i beat you Rad! :p i double check my collection and i have 2 collectors edition version along with 2 copies of each individuel game with all of the differend disks (4 for bfme 1, 6 for bfme 2, 1 for rotwk) so thats a total of:

BFME1- 10 disks (2 stand alone copies 4 disks each and then 2 from the 2 collectors editions i bought)
BFME2- 14 disks (2 stand alone copies 6 disks each and then 2 from the 2 collectors editions i bought)
ROTWK- 4 (2 stand alone copies 1 disk each and then 2 from the 2 collectors editions i bought)

28 BFME disks. I think i deserve the downloads as well. I bought all of mine off the shelf in best buy, walmart and gamestop when they were still being sold. about 30 bucks for each collectors edition and 20 bucks for the other editions and i bought each one brand new. i got BFME1 when it first came out for 50 bucks.

Happy Buying! Apollo is outta here.

Disk amount doesn't count for shit. It's the package that counts. Some games require many disks, it's unfair to the optimized ones :p
