Hi, I really dig this mode, but I find the unit building time to be a little bit to long (for my taste obviously). Would there be an easy way for me to modify some ini files to reduce unit bulding time by half let's say? Or is it too much work to do?
Thank you for answering, this mod is the best ever!

Go through the gamedata.ini and modify every BuildTime field to half of its original, then go through all the units and modify their respective BuildTime field. Also, if it has a gamedata reference (eg. MORDOR_WITCHKING_BUILDTIME) in the BuildTime field, don't bother changing it, since it refers to a value you've changed already in the gamadata.ini. I'm not sure whether there's an easier way to do it than to just go through each one, but that's what I'd do (menial coder over here)

Ok thanks a lot for your informations. So there is the gamedata.ini AND every ini individually for each unit... That seems like a good amount of work, but I will attempt it!

I cannot find anywhere with builtime values. As FellbeastIII explained, everything refers to default values, but I cannot find anywhere tomodify the default value, there is no value in gamedata.ini. and everything in units ini files refer to default value somewhere else.
Where can I look for these values?

The are two ways to do this;
in gamedata.ini (I think SEE uses another method though...) you can change the Defines, which are the likes of MORDOR_WITCHKING_BUILDTIME. Behind them is a number, ie, 90 (seconds).
Most, if not all, of these units, have their reference to their buildtime in gamedata.ini. However, you can manually change them in each objects own file, but that is a hazzle and isn't neccesary.
So, modify the values in gamedata.ini, or another one SEE use.. I can't remember, but it's likely inside the data\ini\default folder.. look inside those files and see if you can't find it. Look for a file that has a huge list of Defines, a really big mega-list, with values at the end. Then you can search for BUILDTIME and you'll find all the buildtimes in the mod (for everything; units, heroes, buildings, upgrades, ect.. there's quite an amount)
Then modifiy the values you want. For buildtime values, they are defined in seconds.

Yeah that is exactly the problem, I do not know which one is the default file, and cannot find it. I tried most of them, but couldn't find anything.
If no one knows, I guess I'll just learn to play this way then!

Well, the mod is meant to be played that way Not to mentioned balanced to play that way, so you might not gather resources as fast, or something else. Basically, the core feature for SEE is exactly the longer buildtimes, and that won't ever change.

I actually like the longer building time for building. I guess I'm just not used to it yet for units, but I trust the creators of this mod! I'll stick to the original then!
Thanks!
Thanks!
