It's a bit of a shame really, that this place is dead and rotting, so it'd be nice if some other people actually started using it - I, at least, plan to do so.

Anyway, for those of you who followed the Quenta Silmarillion division of the BFME2 From Book to Game mod, you might remember I created a ... mediocre, at best, model for Morgoth, which sparked much controversy over my interpretation of his form being something not quite humanoid. This I have continued, despite my leaving of FB2G, and have kept and completed the model, as I always wanted to do, in an extravagantly detailed version which sports over 128,000 polys, in ZBrush. Now you might see why I put this in the Art forums instead of BFME's, as that many polys is a SAGE-killer.
So, here's the one I made somewhere around late April 2012:

My god, it's so ... bad!
Anyway, since then, I've been honing my skills with ZBrush, and whilst I'm not an expert, it's still better than that ^.
Here 'tis, the December 2012 Morgoth, which, whilst not textured or UV'd, is probably my best model yet.

Thanks. Oh, and just to say, to any readers, this may or may not appear in Westernesse, but it's more of an experimental piece than a project.
Either way, I'm actually still getting on with Westernesse, not abandoning it in its infancy.

Very fierce. Wouldn't the legs need more muscle and mass to them to support the upper body? I want to say that hips need to be at least directly in line with, or outside of, the shoulders' width to achieve balance in a biped.

yeah, the legs have been the hardest part, but I plan to improve them, as you say.
Also, Apollo, you're talking about a Manticore; mediocre means crap, basically.

Cool. Another thing - how would he wield Grond? The claws don't really seem to lend themselves towards being good manipulators, but I could see him retaining enough of his shape-shifting powers to make them more useful at need, maybe.

Basically, the skin bends around the bones of his hand further than the knuckles. Of course I had it all planned out.

This is what I get for being absent for a shameful amount of time... I don't get to comment on things like this. But yea, the amount of content related too what we actually do here at Revora in this topic is burning my retinas. I'll have to ask you to stop.

That's a nice collection of Polygons. It's doubtful that's what Tolkien had in mind in what Morgoth looked like, but it's pretty. Now make a 100% accurate 3D model of Pasidon to finish the ritual.

It's a bit of a shame really, that this place is dead and rotting,

Looks like we have something in common wit Michael Jackson now then. This is a good thing, I guess.

From you, I think this is my highlight of Revora.

You want another you? I'll do my best, but if it starts cynically talking i'll have to stop.

I'm still going to say that it looks like Gothmog, lieutenant of Morgoth... Which is still an epic of epic epicness.

It would take 69 balrogs to equal that many polys ;)
