Hi all! I don't know if you all remember me but I am so glad to see the mod team fully revitalized! As all of you are certainly aware of, the Hobbit comes to theaters tomorrow (in the U.S. at least) and I can't help wondering what the Dol Guldor map situation will be as we have gotten some good looks so far! Since I'm no mapper I just thought I would bring attention to the subject even though I'm sure it is already on NJM and MTL's minds! Here are some pictures I've found from the trailers for what I assume Dol Guldor will look like!

My basic plan (after watching the first trailer) was to edited the original EA map and make Dol Guldur in ruins like what you see there.

I have also been developing an idea to make a BfME II Erebor a reality...

I won't spoil anything but if you see Erebor in the movie, you'll actually see the greatest challenge possible for a BFME mapper XD.

P.S. I'ts Dol Guldur :p

Ha ha, I can hazard a bit of guesswork as to what will have to be added and modified. Dwelling of the Dwarves and deep mines in the mountains. Dale might have to get a lift out of the valley.

NJM, I haven't even begun to sketch out plans for this stuff. I already have a map to complete for An Unexpected Journey.

P.S. I think it would be best to have NJM to make Erebor, you have already made some great Moria maps.

Given the size of Erebor there could be a modified original map and then Separate maps for each of the new locations. =O

P.P.S. I have fixed spelling mistake Fredius. ;p

Gollum, is this work in progress any good? :)

I'm giving the EA map an overhaul to match The Hobbit.

Wow that looks...amazing!! I bet in the next hobbit movies you will see more of Dol Guldur, thus allowing you more of something to work off of.

I have a pretty good basis already, but the next two movies will definitely allow me to refine and add more detail.

Can I have the name of this topic changed to Dol Guldur?

Also what do you think about the Dol Guldur player having either their base invaded by spiders or having the spiders already on the side of the Dol Guldur player.

Time for an update. I have watched the trailer countless times to get this one building correct. :D

If you mean the main bridge, you can see it in one of the above pictures. ;p

I haven't changed it much from that.

Isn't there a bridge joining the two pieces like that?

Back of the hill and space for the Dol Guldur player to expand.
Clouds - I know how to change them, but I think these are the original clouds.
