Exclusive to the Federation are Sonic/sound related weaponry.
Sonic weapons are very effective against infantry and mutated animals or anything with an ear pretty much.
Sonic infantry are not effective at all against heavy armour. However the Federation will get some heavy sonic units which can level small villages in a minute, if not a few seconds.
In this pic you can see the sonic trooper. They come in squads of two but cost plenty.
