I just wanna share some of my recent work with BCoD modding. Basically I'm playing with injected Lua interpreter. Also I was able to enable built-in editor and some debug options there were removed from BCoD. My plan is to extend BCoD engine with Lua.

Tell me what you think. Share some ideas with me.

Install:

Extract archive and copy release directory content to your BTCOD install directory.

 

Changelog:

Recording mission - press CTRL+R, in editbox type file name, chose mission from list and press Start button to start recording, quit the game to stop recording.

Play recorded mission - press CTRL+P, chose recorded mission file from list and double click on file name.

Sample recorded mission attached, check DATOS/ROLLING directory

Editor (CTRL+E) - press Show routes to toggle visiblity

Debug console - press CTRL+D, can be used from Lua scripts, use SHIFT+PGUP, SHIFT+PGDWN to scroll

Lua interpreter window removed to make editor usable

The c2 demo version can add enemy and box etc...

after ipnut gonzo1982 in game. ctrl+e can edit mis and gsc script.

If you are interested in testing this mod please download ddraw.dll from 

https://sites.google...redirects=0&d=1

and put it in directory with coman_mp.exe binary. Currently on version 1.06 of coman_mp.exe is supported.

If you see message box with an error it seems that you version is not supported.  I'm working on adding support

to latest version available on http://www.gog.com/g...andos_ammo_pack. You can help me to add support

for you BTCoD coman_mp.exe binary. To be able to use this mod you have to have visual studio 2010 libraries installed.

One can download required libraries from http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5555.

In case of any issues just let me know. I already have coman_mp.exe binaries with md5sum equals to

where is the coman_mp.exe ver 1.06 and ver 1.07 usa and demo files.

coman_mp.exe is BtCoD game binary. You should have it after successful game installation.

Me not the "commandos_ammo_pack.exe" installation package. and the all link is invalid on my network.

What is version 1.06? Is the original?

 

There is only one patch for BCD and it has a coman_mp.exe of 17-04-1999.

This coman_mp.exe (small 241KB .exe that loads the .icd) has an MD5 of:

1851ae7feddad0fc463c774ecfc56457

But that is not on your list.

 

The original coman_mp.exe (again a small 206KB .exe that loads the .icd) on CD has an MD5 of:

b9664eed0192cd29c8954c3dfa774ff0

It's not on your list either.

 

I never knew there is a US version of BCD. Anyone have this?

That's a cr*cked exe. File date is 24-3-1999 so it must be older than the 1.1 patch. I'm just saying this because the MD5 of this one is:
73ecf51da9ec984d7b46d4d5e1d532d3

and that isn't on the list either. But OK, I'll be using this one.

This is cracked version 1.06. I've just checked and it seems that version 1.1 it's really 1.08.

How do you check that? I've opened it in a hex editor but I don't see.

(I just used the official names of the versions.)

There is encoded string in almost each coman_mp.exe binary. It is visible in cheat mode (GONZOOPERA or GONZO1982) after pressing CTRL+-.

It's encrypted with 0x55 character used as a key to simple XOR encoding. After decoding it looks like that:
