Hey,

So I have two computers linked together through a 1GigE router via LAN.

When playing over the network via two computers, the response time on the host computer is great during gameplay, but the computer that joins the LAN game has about a 2 second command delay when I tell my units to do something.

So for example, I'll click on a unit, tell them to go from point A to point B....then after 2 seconds they will finally do it. It's quite annoying. It doesn't matter which computer it is, it's always the one who joins the game that has the problem. I do not have the same issue with any other games.

Has anyone experienced this and can help me out?

Thanks!

What are both the computer specs? Have you tried running the game at a lower quality to see if this improves the speed?

Thanks for the reply!

Computer #1

Windows 7 64bit

i5, 3.2Ghz

16GB RAM

HD Radeon 7570

1x2TB SATA HDD

Computer #2

Windows XP 32bit

Core 2 Duo, 2.93GHz

3GB RAM

HD Radeon 6670

1x40GB IDE HDD

1x80GB IDE HDD

I tried lowering the specs of the game, not to the lowest settings...but it still does it. Plus, I can usually play the game at high or ultra high graphics if playing the game by myself. It doesn't matter which computer it is, the one that joins the game has that 2 second command delay. Also, other games run fine across the LAN.

Does that help give ideas on what might be happening here?

Hm... well maybe your firewall settings or something else is slowing down the connection?

All the firewalls are actually disabled.
