Now that LWR Beta 0.1 is up I guess it's time to put down my Orc blade and pick up my Sarissa.

So at work building on the code I've already done.
Some information on various things.
I mentioned elsewhere that I'll be using a system similar to BFME1's plot system this will also mean there won't be fortresses and their upgrades.
A big aim of this mod is to keep things simple and not be too bogged down in upgrades and special powers leaning more towards realism.
There will also be no CAH system since heroes aren't going to be a big part of the mod with the exception of the leaders.
The spell book's fate is up in the air it may be cut I may it in some form.
Hordes will be bigger than BFME2 averaging around 25 units per horde this is mainly so the Pezhetairoi can properly form the phalanx which was 5 ranks deep and so need at least 5 units wide as well.
The mod will keep the Basic Training, Fire Arrow type upgrades.
I'll be using a new art style for this mod that is based on my own art style of hand drawn images with digital colouring.
I'm currently looking for 3d artists which at the moment is most needed.
This kind of style

Seems way too "fantasy" for a historical based mod. I understand you want your own style, but it looses credibility in my opinion to mash together two completely foreign concepts.

300 mixed concepts and that worked.
But basically the idea is to use my own drawing style and work it in that way I can be assured of the quality I'm a better drawer than texture artist so I'm just playing to my strengths.

Well , the style is too fantasy , I agree with Kwen there.

How is that fantasy?

I guess so.
I had originally planned to use this style with AON but then that got turned into a submod for LWR so it'll be cool to be able to still do this.

I would recommend taking a look at 0 A.D. and what they did for the Macedonians, the Achaemenid Persians, the Mauryan Indians, and now the Ptolemaic Egyptians. Their research on the Mauryans should be very helpful, since its very challenging to find solid information on the Indians of the period.

I can't grasp this either. How is a style, a style which we technically haven't seen associated with the mod itself yet, "fantasy"? Looks like you'll have to whip up a drawing Rad to show them
Proportions , colors look more of a cartoon than a real photo .

That's the idea, but cartoon isn't fantasy.
