Hey guys, merry christmas to every one it's also my birthday! Ah and I thought a stupid thing and cant stop myself and gave it a shot here I know its been a long time since RA cancelled and we will never have a full version but guys I think I'm not the only one who still loves this mod so why not you gave us a beta I mean just uploading the file you were working on even a beta with full of bugs could be awesome or only a beta with original factions ! Come on guys just give this a chance I'm sure you still have the mods big file just a upload and it will make my dream come true ! Ahh I'm a dreamer but maybe a have a chance

As someone who has actually played Rhovanion Alliance beta versions, I can tell you that you aren't missing out on too much. Last I played (many years ago, all files have been lost since), Mirkwood was 'playable' but severely bugged, and the original factions had the occasional minifaction implemented (which, again, were pretty much all bugged). Minifactions also only worked on 1 map if I recall correctly (Dunharrow). 

 

Anyway, even if we wanted to release it, I don't think we could. At this point, I don't think even Nertea has that old file.

Yeah, all the cool things you saw on pictures, videos and what-not: It weren't really that cool in-game last time I played. It was far off from any sort of release.

RA was a dream. What has been stated before is the truth. The files may exist somewhere, but I promise you it is not the grand mod you imagine. Too much work for anybody to make it worth a true release.

 

The reason TDH came to be, was because there was something in RA that could be imagined. Something that no full mod had ever done before. A Dwarf faction. 

 

TDH is the child of the old RA team. It may not be as 'Grand' as people want. But then, how many mods really are?

 

Give it a break. And just enjoy what is presented. TDH wouldn't exist if it was not for the old RA, accept it as a tribute to the "old days".

 

 

TDH is to this day, one of the best mods ever released, and also updated/supported.

Also know, that many of the great minds behind TDH/RA also work on many of the mods you see now. The original mod you desire may be lost, but the people who made it still exist. Still make amazing products.

TDH is my go to mod for BFME, though I do wish there was an easy way to get the latest version on to a computer without internet, which is part of the reason I haven't tried using the revived multiplayer yet.
