Upcoming Changes
 
Some big changes coming for Beta 0.2.
 
First off is bigger hordes with most hordes getting an extra 5 units each.
Some hordes have been increased even more.
Also balancing some of the solo units like Trolls and Berserkers so they are still viable against the bigger hordes.
Creep Lairs have also been made a bit tougher to counter this change.
 
Damage types have been changed a bit as well to better incorporate the different unit types.
Orcs, Uruks and Cavalry will all now do SLASH damage (Cavalry get a scalar against infantry)
URUK damage has been changed to a sort of "Bite" type for units like Wolves, Wargs and Spiders.
FORCE is now the damage type for Elite units, basically it's like a slightly weaker version of HERO.
CHOP has been the damage type for Axemen but this has been made more prevalent.
CRUSH damage is no longer done by cavalry when attacking normally, it is still the damage type for crushing and knock back type attacks and also for Hammer units.
 
I've also been adding in audio for a lot of units and heroes.

General:

Updated Boromir's armour to closer to the Tough hero armour

Reduced the HERO_RANGED damage taken by most Hero armour types slightly

Added in some weapon sound fx for Axes, Hammers and Barbed/Upgraded arrows

Reskinned the generic Orc for the Mordor and Isen building animations

Added in more voices and coded in even more

Added in a debuff for Stuns and Mini stuns

Changed the buff for Dark Influence

Reduced the duration of Dark Influence down to 60s from 120s

Coded in horde size changes

  • Fixed creeps and did some texture work on Overbourn Marshes
  • Lower Methedras is almost finished
  • Converted Edoras into a skirmish map
  • The treesets now go up to 84, the new ones are mostly green variations
  • Added new set Silvar
  • Added a few more textures to the rock floor and shire grass sets
  • Added in more lava textures
  • Fixed missing Rohan house textures
  • Added a new tree set Weald (based on the Oak tree)
  • Added new grass types up to 98 (only the main set at the moment, 63 and 64 have alternate variations in 97 and 98)
  • 2 more tree types Bind and Buck
  • Tree set textures now go up to 93
  • Added new tree set Knot
  • Added new tree set Knot B (also figured a way to make the tree sets a lot quicker to make)
  • Added 3 more tree sets KnotC, KnotD and Gnarl (the last is a set version of the Lichen tree)
  • Added 3 more tree sets Plain, Wellinghall and Field
  • Dol Amroth Changes:Moved the second Outpost and the nearby econ, cleared out some of the buildings for space, added a ramp to the left side of the west gate, replaced the trees, tweaked the mini ramp at the top floor, fixed the civilians and removed the centre watchtower.
 
Neutral:
  •  Improved Creep lair armour
 
Rohan:
  • Improved the Royal Guard's armour
  • Changed the FX for Royal Charge
  • Added secondary leadership for Archers to Wall Banner upgrade, fear immunity and an extra 20% armour buff
  • Added voices to Gamling
  • Added voices to Grimbold
  • Added voices to Erkenbrand
 
 
Gondor:
  • Reduced Wound Arrow damage from 400 to 300 (guessing in 1.03 it was increased to 400, with the balance changes it made Wound Arrow way to deadly)
  • Added voices to Beregond
  • Added voices to Mablung
  • Added voices to Mardil
  • Added voices to Denethor (not all)
 
Lorien:

Rivendell:
  • Elrond now has his mounted art
  • Noldor High Guard now have art
  • Renaming Imladris Charger to Noldor Charger
  • Noldor Charger now has art
  • Coded in the Noldor High Guard
  • Added Rush to High Guard
  • Added Charge to Charger
  • Coded in Elrond mount
  • Fixed Noldor HG weapon
  • Added voices to Elladan
  • Added voices to Elrohir

  • Moved Gil Galad to LA Warriors spell, replacing his spell with Gandy.

  • Removed the MF Arrows for after 0.2
 
Mordor:
  • Added voice to Gorbag
  • Added voice to Ufthak
  • Added voice to Shagrat (using Shathuk's)
  • Added voice to Thrakrat
  • Troll hero is no longer effected by his own leadership (he was getting double damage from it making him far too strong, like 3 hits of a wall and it's gone strong)
  • Doubled Battering Ram damage
 
Isengard:
  • Added voice to Grima
  • Moved the Warg Scout to a new skill for Sharku "Warg  Scout" it summons 1 Warg Scout with no timer.
  • Added second Wildman version to summon
  • Added voice to Wildmen
  • Fixed some issues with Maul
  • Added 4 new textures for the Wargs and changed the standard Warg texture to a brownish tone (for the Warg Pit)
  • Updated/Fixed textures for Warg and Uruk Pits
  • Removed the housecolour for the Warg fur for the Warg Pit
  • Fixed random texture code for Warg rider fur
  • Added in Isengard Orcs (extra unit for maps)
  • Added Heavy armour to Isengard Orcs
  • Added heavy armour skins to Warg Riders
  • Increased Ballista damage to structures by a significant amount (up 800%)
  • Doubled Battering Ram damage
 
Dunland:
  • Updated Wall texture to new type
  • Updated Camp walls with Torches
  • Updated Wildman Hut model and textures, added new v states
  • Updated the Farm model with new v states and new animated crops
  • Added fire FX to level 5 Stead, Hut and Lodge
  • Coded in Wolf of Dunland and Fire Brands Faction Upgrades
  • Coded in Hobelar Fire Brand weapon (needs testing)
  • Replaced the Hobelar weapon with a unique one, he now does less damage
  • Coded in basic version of Ulric
  • Coded in basic version of Wolfhound
  • Coded in basic version of Dunland Warband
  • Coded in basic version of Adorn Champion
  • Moved the War Hounds to the Farm (including Externals) and they are now gated by the War Craft spell
  • Fixed the firing bones for the Castle tower upgrade
  • Added in Postern Gates
  • Added attack animation, fire fx to Hobelars
  • Added fire FX to Javelots
  • Adorn Champion now has art
  • Added up and Bi for Worker and Champ (temps)
  • Adjusted Champion cost and time 600 and 45

  • Updated BPs and BIs for Hut, Farm and Lodge
  • Changed damage type for Dogs from CRUSH to URUK, Reduced damage to structures by 90% and to heroes by 50%
  • Improved Hunting Dog Training by adding a damage boost to it, 15 base damage and and extra 20% damage to heroes
  • Added a small splash to Adorn Champion attack and increased damage, and cost (these guys are pretty much late game anti-infantry and heroes which Dunland kind of lacked)
  • Decreased wall armour resist to SIEGE and STRUCTURAL types by 25% and added FLAME damage to the acceptable types (trailing at 5% damage)
  • Fixed missing Farm label
  • Fixed missing Smelter label
  • Hobelar Fire Brands do heavily reduced damage to Wells (which just makes sense)
  • Increased Hobelar Fire Brands do additional damage to Citadels and Stone structures (20% so they can actually be a threat to them)
  • Added voices to Hillmen and Wildmen
  • Added voice to Borgo
  • Added voice to Orleth
 
Known Issues:
  • Citadel models screw up when destroyed after Great keep has been purchased - working that one out now
  •
