What about the Goblin of High Pass minions upgrade when heavy armour is researched? Just an idea. =p

That should be doable, if deemed nescessary. They will just be a horde swarming around GG. Perhaps as a buyable upgrade for him though or a possible summon, or a combination of both. As soon as I'm done modeling Bolg (topologizing now), I'll get back to coding and finish this faction asap.

Yeh me too, as that was in a way related to it...  :whathuh: But, I see light in the end of the tunnel, and after Bolg, there shouldn't be any more modeling needed for this faction, as I hope to trade for the remaining assets. That is, the Dol Guldur orcs that I would like to use as a limited heavy melee horde instead of the ugly giant goblins  :trickydick:

Yeah, I would prefer not to trade. =/ But regardless.

Well, I would prefer not to get stuck in endless modeling endeavours  :trickydick:

I still have to do the rams for dwarves, and I might have to do the Iron Hills light infantry (non movie version)... so I simply can't muster any more energy to do Dul Guldur Orcs as well (and I don't wanna keep the fat goblins). I also need Bard and Radagast and Edain has excellent models of them both.

Why do we need bard? He's dead by the time lotr occurs? Spell book? We have brand has grandson. Radagast we do need though.

I thought we had passed the "he's dead" issue long ago.

Azog is dead, Bolg is dead, Yazneg is dead, Fimbul is dead, Great Goblin is dead, Boromir is dead, and most of the dwarves are dead...  :whatoa:

I said it numerous times - this is not a lore or canon true mod. It's a movie based mod, and I'd like to have caracters from the movies in it. There's not really any point in being lore true in some places and not in others. If we would be true to the lore, we'd have no heroes for the goblin faction. Bard is in beta 4.5 too. So is Smaug.

However, if we ever get to do a campaign, the aim is to be true to the movies (and lore, where they match), as in when some caracters are gone, they won't be in the game/campaign. Meaning Azog etc won't be in a LotR campaign, and Frodo etc won't be in a Hobbit campaign.

Thanks for the explanation. Somewhere along the way I just never caught on to the mod shifting from the war of the ring time frame to being purely movie based. We had some discussions about the goblin heroes and the lack of them during the war of the ring. So I understood the need for a concession there.

Anyway I apologize for creating another discussion when the information was already there and I just misunderstood it.

No worries mate  :smile2ap: I assure you that I do want to be lore and movie true, when and if we get to the campaign. My plan is that, once the mod is done as in all factions ready for skirmish - we take that and try to muster better coders from the hopefully somewat bigger fan base, and put a last effort together into at least one (good) campaign, venturing through both Hobbit movies and LotR movies  :thumbsuphappy:
