I also plan to get a Windows 8 Tablet ,hopefully with broadwell , and a stylus ,so my question is ...
CAN BFME run on these tablets ? I would like an answer from someone who has actually tried ,not I think it should ,
But even if it can't I will still proceed with the MOD ...have to buy two original DVDs and a new graphics card ....money needs spending for this fun!

Christmas is coming ,so really thinking of thinpad 10 ,atom z3795 Quadcore TABLET.
if any owners of one can install BFME1 or 2 that would be greatly appreciated .
I just want to relax on my couch playing BFME mods ,can't do that with iPad ....
Why I decided on thinkpad 10 LTE
1. LTE or 3G
2. Battery life
3. Wacom pen
4. Fanless
I may eventually buy one and post results for you guys !
I hope this processor is up to it.
Looking at the HELIX 2 Broadwell LTE , soon to be released ,

The answer in really on a small search on google. I found this really useful link here.
I quote ( but read carefully)
I have a fondness for EA's Battle for Middle Earth series, set in J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy realm. This title really pushed the visual boundaries of what I expected from an RTS back when it came out. So, I'm dusting it off for today's experiment.
Right off the bat, I ran into an issue: the game doesn't run on Windows 8. Thankfully, a resourceful fan who goes by the alias of Turin Turumbar created the BfME_Startup_Fixxer.exe patch to get around the problem.
The display's native 1280x800 resolution caused some performance problems, so I dialed that back to 1024x768 and cranked the detail preset up to Ultra-High. On Dell's small 8" screen, the lower resolution makes very little difference. Once again, I went with the Bluetooth-attached keyboard and mouse for control.
Dell Venue 8 Pro - Battle for Middle Earth II TestAs you can see in our video, the game looks great considering its age. It runs surprisingly smoothly on Dell's small Windows-based tablet.
But the link has also a video so you might check it out.

So I am updating this topic
Basically I would like BFME 2 Players to give notice on whether they are successful in running BFME 2 on a Win tablet
This would help BFME 2 fans in their purchase of tablet to play the game.
Lenovo thinkpad 10; Z8795 ; Win 8.1 -BFME 1 and 2 playable on low settings
Lenovo thinkpad Helix 2 ;Core m ; Win 8.1 -BFME 1 and 2 playable on high settings
Surface 3 ; x7-Z8700 ;Win 8.1 -BFME 1 ONLY playable on low settings ;BFME 2 not playable (crash on startup )
I am interested to know if the following can play BFME 2
Surface Pro 4 ;Core m
Lenovo Thinkpad X1 ; Core m
Samsung Galaxy Book 10 inch ;Core m
Asus Transformer 3 ;Core m
Lenovo Miix 700
