Very much so.

We've regretfully neglected to keep our T3A audience up to date, however.

In the last couple of months, there's been a lot of development happening on Shadow and Flame:

  • Dúnedain Ranger76 is now co-leader.
  • A second custom faction, Eriador, was added and is currently nearing completion.
  • Many new things were conceptualized for the four original factions.
  • The conceptual stage for work on a new campaign has begun.
  • Veteran modder Kwen has joined us once again.

Now for a small taste of what's been done recently:

RENDERS:

A render of one of the many Mordor Orc variations.

A render of a new Mordor hero.

A render of an Ered Luin Dwarf.

A render of Glorfindel.

SCREENSHOTS:

A view on the Eriador castle.

Rivendell Knights crossing a ford.

Ithilien Rangers led by Faramir.

Gondorians make their stand near their Beacon.

Dúnedain of the North guarding their ancient home in the Angle.

Haradrim Archers.

Rohirrim led by the Royal Guard banner carriers.

BONUS:

Eriador blacksmith.

Thanks for reading, and remember: this is but a taste of the terror Shadow and Flame will unleash.

So that's what you have been up to...

Loving the Eriador castle, inspired by Bree I guess. Very cool.

And a very happy Glorfindel, interesting design of his armour.

I see what you did at the blacksmith...

Splendid! Appetizers!

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

Yeah, the slightly tipsily happy Glorfindel is a little odd, but the rest is good. Very happy to see a high-res version of Cheeseface Gothmog. Particularly like the new Haradrim with the banners.

The eyes are look very perceptive and elf-like (meaning he does not look not inhibited). =p

That is a great render.

We haven't found a dedicated AI coder, but there's been some developments and I think we can get AI done in the future.

Yeah once Eriador and the original factions are done we'll release version 1.00.

It is cool.Thank you for answer. One more thing. You will not release it without completing AI,will you?And in your opinion does it take too much time to release new version?(i.e half a year)

Not sure about releasing it without AI. We haven't really talked about it.

I don't think it takes too much time. You have to remember this is a hobby, and that we simply cannot work on it all the time. I do wish it could go faster, but realistically it just can't. Whenever the next release is done, you can expect it to be epic.

Paired with a friend or two, and T3A:Online the mod will be great fun regardless! We will see about AI upon release, but if it doesn't happen rest assured the mod still has much to offer!
