Man had the most epic battle last night! My buddy and I fought 5 brutals, I was elves and he was MOTW. He got his fortress knocked down early on luckily he just had enough money for a new one so had to build a new one next to mine. Then it got ugly, we were cramped on a little base and the AI's started unleashing their specials on our tiny area. We were not getting much income because it was so small. We beat back onslaught after onslaught. Killed many Gronds, many Smaugs, Sauron twice, lost three fortresses total but emerged victorious (seriously 9 hours later!) We took them out the absolute first minute we had the ability so its not like we were padding stats. But a 9 hour game and 63,000 kills we finally won. WOW is all I can say! Maybe I will post a screen shot of the stats.

Ok either I am very confused or maybe I am thinking right. Ok based on what Irial wrote, that the target would be in the "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"

Then the start in box would be this as he wrote:

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"

Now that all makes sense, since for people that the default installation folder which would be that what I just said above.

Now I packed the see folder into :C like he said, but why when I put that info in the start in and target boxes I keep getting that message that the folder isn';t there. I keep getting the message that the folder in the start in box is not valid. Anyone know my problem?

witchkingshour,
I got the exact same thing because I pasted the path from the post on page three here. Something like a space or something else that should not be there was copied. So I just typed in how it should be and it worked. (note: I had to also install it to an alternate location because it crashed when copied to the default location)

These a straight from my shortcut that works
Target:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"

Start in:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"

So try unpacking to root c: and using those paths I supplied. I have used that on three computers and it works for all three.

I noticed a few "glitches" playing the last two days.

1. Tournament Hills (Multiplayer game)
2. Elves
3. Noldor Warriors
4. Could only recruit 2 battalions of Noldor Warriors. barracks says you can recruit 4
(I will check another map it seems like I didn't have the same problem in a previous game game)

1. Same from above.
2. Elves
3. Treebeard
4. Treebeard switches to melee mode w/o clicking the button for it. Nothing seems to get him back to throwing rocks. I noticed it again later after I summoned ents as soon as they left he switched to melee attack the button still showed he should be throwing rocks so I tried toggling between the two and he never switched back from melee.

1. Same
2. Mordor
3. Grond
4. Grond went through a tiny opening between a wall hub and a mountain, I am not even sure a troll could have gone through. But grond went all the way through and went into the middle of the base and reeked havoc. It probably is a small issue but I don't know how on earth he was able to get through.

1. Same
2. MOTW
3. Rohan heroes
4. After rohan heroes died could not re-recruit even though golden hall was still intact. Destroyed Golden Hall rebuilt it now heroes can recruit. Note: Golden Hall was slightly damaged when this suddenly happened. Maybe the damaged Hall instigated this problem.

1. Muliple maps
2. MOTW
3. Structure Trebuchets
4. Trebuchets on structures will not bombard, click the bomard button and the blue star target does not appear. Bombard works with regular Trebuchets but not on walls or the fortress Trebuchets.

1. Dagorlad
2. MOTW
3. Recruit faction building
4. Captured faction building could recruit elves and hobbits but the dwareven faction said it needed a forge or armory. I built everything possible Gondor and Rohan and upgraded everything but still could not recruit those dwarves.

It seems like there were one or two more but I can't think of them right now if I do I will post them later.

Geez elbenmensch you don't have to be a dick about it... this is what happens with computer stuff sometimes. LEt's try to fix in not throw our hands in the air and give up...

Ok I am still getting the problem:
Downloaded and extracted using Winrar
Copied SEE folder into C:\Documents and Settings\jason\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files

Shortcut on desktop points to:
Target: "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod SEE
Start in: "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"

Windows XPsp2
It is English version (collector's edition)
Patch = 1.06 (I just repatched it to be sure)
Double click shortcut game starts to load blinks once and then crashes I get:
"game.dat has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I also tried it on my work computer which is totally different hardware but exact same thing occurs.

Will the old 4.0 version cause a problem cause it's still installed. I didn't think it would but nevertheless it is there maybe it is causing a problem?

I got the same problem on two different computers. They have totally different hardware. I am just downloading the mod again, it may have gotten corrupted or something.
