Other cavalry, such as those few that were maintained in the cities may have been more lightly equipped than knights (RotK, p21, 80), and/or, in the later parts of the 3A, recruited from militiamen within Gondor (RotK, p182)
Militia was called up in times of need (RotK, p45, 147).

Alright, alright, since I'm making stuff up and I am such a stupid person, who seem to know nothing about LoTR, I'll give up and let you guys think that all the dwarves are allmighty killers that can not be matched by anybody or anyone, make best unbreakable weapons and are all prodetected by tripple plate mithril armor, which means that every single one of them could beat Sauron singlehanded. But before I do that I just want to say that may be you should have looked at the pages of the books I provided, checked the images I posted, and concider that may be after been hit in a breastplate with a blunted sword and being pushed on the ground, you do not necessary die... and if it was not 5 Orcs to 1 Gondorian soldier at least, than Minas Tirith would have fallen..., before saying that I am making everything up...

trying to prove that some major mods need "cleaning up" also this isnt a site that goes 100% by the books either nor the movie,
it goes by the creativity of the people that make the mods
