Ok, I know im reviving an old thread... But, the link here is no longer valid, and Im in need of a good tut for skinning items, Most notibly, windows, making them transparent, and being able to keep them that way when I export in .W3D. Yes I searched, I found some help, but not what I need for the windows part of my skinning..
Thanks for any help, and Long live the Generals Modding community...

ok, Im not wiz at this, as im just getting started myself. But you need to use the little square boxes and move them around to get them over the part of the picture that best fits the part your skinning at the time. If you do only one part of the tank at a time your going to have an easier time of it... Like doing only the turrent first, then the body, then the tracks... you need to select them in the view window, then skin that part, then select another part, and skin that, and over and over untill y ou have all parts skined.. The picture that your using for a skin is actually skin for all the parts, but you have to use only part of the picture at a time...
Hope this helps. I cant post pics, or i would try to help a litle more...
Good luck...
