Hmm. So i've done more testing with making beach movable on by land units. Changed the speed from 0 to 100% for tracked and foot speedtypes in land characteristics. And it didn't work; the land units didn't move to beaches when i told them so.
However, some days ago, discovered something by accident: It actually can move to beach, just not directly! For example, if i made it move to a beach, it won't. But if i made it move to an area of land that had a beach terrain in its path, and i told it to stop Right when it's on the beach, it will stay, with no errors. And then, i can make it move to any area of beach that i wish. Just like when its on land, when the unit is on beach terrain, it will not move back on land without doing this (tell it to move, and then press stop when it's on land) action. Interesting behavior. It's as if the land-beach is a obstacle that blocks the game's path finding decision for a destination location of beach, but not between.
Anyhow, that means I can make land units board and unboard ships the Traditional Way, though kind of slowly. Yay. Just had my 4 cruisers unload 12 tanks behind the enemy base, while providing artillery cover XD
