6676 polygons. The base model was the Dwarf CAH, since I was thinking about adding them as a new create a hero option .
This any better?

High poly Iron hills Soldier render: (Also high-res textures)
.
Don't know quite what to do with it, it's too high poly to use as a normal unit.

Thank you!
New render: Iron hills Captain
Notice, the face's resemblance to the Dwarf that said "Tanar! Durin nur!"

Yes, you are right. Good models/textures require time and work.
This is how they looked when they first started (The final render is hours after)

Hey! So, I started a new mod, http://www.moddb.com...-iron-crown-mod which I believe turned out better than my last project.
I am also creating models for this mod as-well http://www.moddb.com...of-silmarillion
Anyways, I thought it was a good time to start a model showcase, my skills are somewhat better now.
First up, Soldier of carn dum, made for the Legacy of Silmarillion.
.
Polycount: 1188. Uses two 500x500 textures. Don't laugh at their guy-liner.
