Another stupid addition those rams. Dwarves are said to have no empathy with animals, to be disliked be them in fact. That's why they don't ride ponys to battle. Besides the fact that rams are rightly considered wild animals for a very good reason, try to get a child to ride one and see what happens.

I agree with Mordor Slayer, this isn't Narnia  (nor World of Warcraft!).

Since the goblins are already rigged, I guess Naz can run a test game of Moria vs. Moria in the private beta with as many goblin units  as possible and see how the game engine behaves. It may give an answer to the issue of high poly models potentially crashing the game.

Here you are Games Workshop painted version of Fimbul, in case it's of any use as reference material:

Looking great! I specially like the size of the city, it's big enough and all the details like the ships.

In Topic: The Haradrim & Easterling languages

Sorry for the late response (about one year and half, OMG!), but as the Nazgûl returns to Barad-dûr evil stirs again.

Irenë you're right regarding Númenóreans. But this was about Haradrim and Easterling languages which had a completely different development.

We only know that in the First Age, Men who came from Hildórien to Beleriand spoke Taliska which was a mix of the speech of the Avari, the speech of the Dwarves and the primitive language of Men. But how did that language evolve until late Third Age is unknown.

However, Tolkien choose Old English for the Rohirric Speech not because they truly spoke that but because it has with the modern English the same relation than the true Rohirric language has with Westron (and Westron is represented by modern English in the books). Taking that in account I guess it is right to use real old eastern languages for Easterlings, with some new words with Dwarven roots or brand new but following the grammar of the chosen language (i.e. Tolkien made up "Hobytla" in Rohirric).
