The Best Virtual LAN Program : Tunngle

29 January 2012 - 09:17 PM

Please make this topic pinned.
I have been using a program called Tunngle for every LAN party and for every game that I ever used to play LAN with.
Left 4 dead, Generals, COD MW3, any old and new releases are all on the Tunngle network database.
Tunngle is very similar to how Garena works. You create an account, log in, and search for the game you want to play LAN on in the search box.
When the search is complete, there would be a list of matched keyword(s), and you would double click on that server to join it.
The difference between Garena and Tunngle however, is the fact that Tunngle supports virtually every single game that supports LAN.
Every server is coded specifically for each game so it's guaranteed to work without fail.
Also, unlike Hamachi, you do not need to create your own servers, and there are no "saved spots". You exit the server when you exit Tunngle, so there is no overpopulation with people that aren't even online.
The Tunngle service lets people request for new servers, including separate servers for modifications like Contra. This way, there will be no people mismatches with different mods.
I have already requested the Tunngle admins to create a Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour : Contra Mod server. If you search Zero hour on the search box, you may notice there are 5 other modded Zero Hour servers already available.
Please try this program out, so that the Zero Hour server becomes a bit more populated, and we can make Zero hour more active to the public instead of having our own skirmishes with a set amount people on Hamachi.
