Thanks for getting back to me. However, now there's a new roadblock. I got to the end of the installation (sound familiar?) and it looked like BFME was ready to play, with the picture of Orodruin and everything. But then it just kept sitting there, and then this message popped up:
Have you seen this before?

Questions should be formulated CLEARLY and CONSTRUCTIVELY, and describe the issue in detail.
At the very least, include the following:
- What kind of error do you get?
- What game version are you using?
- What operating system are you using? (Windows 8, Vista, etc)
We will be happy to assist you.
Hey dudes. I hope I'm not writing anything that hasn't been resolved already. Alright, so I'm trying to do a Let's Play of BFME1's campaigns, but before I can tackle the problem of desktop video capture, I need to succeed in downloading the game. I've done my very best to make this work independently: I went to ForShire, watched the tutorial videos (and this one as well: ), and got all the way to the end of my installation before being hit with this message:
In case the image fails, it reads: "ShellExecuteEx failed; Code 2. The system cannot find the file specified." And clearly that puzzle piece matters, because I cannot get T3A Online to launch, nor BFME Desktop Mode. I know this has happened to at least one other person two weeks ago, based on the comment section of TheDestroyer001's tutorial video. To fill in the other gaps: I was trying to use the 1.5.0 version. My computer operates on Windows 7, x64-based PC. I've already tried Crash Fixer. Finally, although this may be unimportant, I own f#$%ing McAfee security, and it quarantined a couple of things during the download, which I (foolishly?) disregarded at the time.
The funny thing is, I DID manage to download ROTWK, and even the Edain Mod, and I'm fairly sure they're supposed to be harder to do than this. But hopefully, you can give me (or I can give you) a Gandalf moment when it comes to this issue. "Of course, of course! Absurdly simple, like most riddles when you see the answer." Thanks in advance for any assistance.
