Inserting custom maps

Quick question, how do i add my maps i've made to the game so it of coarse works with the mod. i've already placed it into the YR folder (the default is c:/westwood right?) i then play the mod, but it doesn't show up in the list, i also tried it with the game un-modded, but it still didn't show up... either my computer is still being a git, or i'm doing something wrong...
