I dont wanna ask stupid questions so.... Faq?
Im a little more excited about this then Paradox. I can do some textures but no 3d as I dont have 3ds max. Any way I could help out?

So long as you have a way to view the object in 3d while texture, then we could really do with help there. I'll PM you.

As for a FAQ, that's a good idea. Maybe we should open our forums on ModDB and pace them there.

Oh thats actually nice to know, I mean campaigns are cool don't get me wrong, but I'd rather a mod come out sooner and then maybe come out with a campaign later.

Still, without a campaign, thats all the more reason why I feel like you may as well include the original factions, as long as it wouldn't make the mod any more difficult to make in some way.

Actually, that's the reason we why we probably won't include the other factions. Playing online, means you are attempting to beat other players. If the new factions aren't balanced against the old ones, they could either be over powered or underpowered.

Ya i figured, but it would still be really cool just to have the option, even if they aren't balanced and even if it doesn't make sense in the story. I mean they wouldn't have to show up in the campaign or anything.

It's unlikely we'll have a campaign, the mod is more designed for online gaming. We'll just have to see how we progess. A campaign would take a lot of work, and currently I believe it's not possible to do a proper campaign, just scripted maps.

While it is possible, it is unlikely we'll be doing this for a number of reasons:

The factions are going to be designed to be balanced against each other. The new factions have a third super weapon, new support powers and new support units. The old factions simply won't be balanced against them.

Secondly, the MOD is designed to be set 26 years in the future, so the original 3 factions don't exist at the same time as the new ones.
