Greetings, fellow humans!
Firstly congratulations on finding this page, GG for you!
before we start this New Topic, let me introduce myself.
I am Tomasz_exe (no this is not my real name...), known as towerguard89 on moddb.
I life in the Netherlands and I am a great fan of the BFME Series (especially BFME 1) and the Witcher Series. So I thought why not combine my 2 favorite game series? But sins I don't know how to make a proper mod for BFME I thought: "Why not begin with maps from the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt?"
And here I am writing on a BFME forum about bringing the Witcher to BFME...
Now we got that out of the way, let’s talk about the first BFME 1 map I want to make, Oxenfurt.
First some background music:
now that we have some music let’s talk about Oxenfurt.
“Oxenfurt is a Redanian city located on the northern shore of the river Pontar, south of Novigrad. It is famous for its Academy, which is the largest in the Northern Kingdoms. It is about three hundred miles west of Tretogor. The bard, Dandelion is said to simply adore the city. Its bustling and bawdy haven for students, artists, scholars and freethinkers. Here the young reign supreme (in spirit, if not always in fact), a mug of something strong in hand as they blaze new trails in fashion and thought, confident the rest of the world will soon follow.”
-- from the Witcher Wikia, Oxenfurt
I have already a concept for the map:
(now let’s hope that it shows the image...)
I think that it speaks for itself but still:
· Circle = player starter position
· Triangle = outpost
· Diamond? (can't think of a other name for it at the moment ) = economic plots
As you can see it is a 5 player map, 2 begin in Oxenfurt themselves and 3 around Oxenfurt.
I am also thinking of makinn other versions such as: 1 player fortress and no fortress (a abanoned version of Oxenfurt, one player start in Oxenfurt in a camp with no control of the gates)
I don't know yet what the will attackers start in (camp or castle)
But enough talk, what do you think of the first concept? Please let me know, any advice is welcome!
P.S. sorry for the typos or bad writing structure, my English is not as perfect as I want it to be...
