well i also noticed that modders have made forums in the site to give news about their mod. i want to know more about it.Yes, I know. I just found that, when I was new to modding, it was very discouraging and I just wanted to make it clear that he didn't decide something was too difficult based only on what others have said.
Personally, the way I mod involves aiming very high and never reaching it, starting from scratch a dozen times over and eventually maybe releasing something. But I decided because of my perfectionism I wouldn't even announce my mod to the public until I was far along. This may be because of all my experiences where I didn't finish a mod, which was because I began to hate the mod and realize there was a better way to do things, not because it was too big of a project. So, that works for me but it might not for everyone.
But I don't see the point in making a small mod which isn't what you want just in order to practice... The way modding works, it seems like you might as well jump in the deep end and just get some work done making a mod you want while you learn the ropes. Even if you never finish the mod, you still learned some stuff and you're no worse off.
Best Regards,
The Rise Of Sauron Team
