A number of passive abilities/beneficial "things" owned by some vehicles fail to work when the said vehicle is affected by iron curtain. These includes: 

 

1. Drakuv/Apocalypse infantry healing aura will disappear if it is casted with iron curtain, and lose it forever after the effect wears out.

2. Cyclops close-range firepower buff also fails. If it is ordered to fire at close range with the effect of iron curtain, it will only fire its main cannon and there are "hit" animatioin shown on the Cyclops. 

3. Bison/Mastodon/Leviathan: if you use iron curtain on them when the self-repair process is on, the animation continues but is unable to actually heal the vehicle. 

 

And I think I found reason to some of these. While Bison/Mastodon/Leviathan's situation is different (uses a particle system), the previous two are due to the attach effect. These functionalities use attach effect but doesn't have an AttachEffect.PenetratesIronCurtain=yes tag, therefore the effect does not work when the unit is affected by iron curtain.

I know that you can manually set house to anything, but why hassle if house "Civilian" can handle it all? I'm just curious about this "anomaly" and it looks to me that these lead to a cracked mix.

Done, fixes made.

I have a question I wanted to ask you long before. In your Outbreak Challenge I see you using two soundtracks that did not appear in regular skirmish nor being published. How did you know their names? Also in your map all your triggers had the house "UnitedStates", while I could only set it to "Civilian" by default in my Final Alert 2. Did you... crack the mix protections or something? 

 

Btw, don't get me wrong - I have no desire to ask for a cracked mix by any means. I'm just curious how you did those things.

I downloaded the Ballistic Challenge and tried to run it in spectator mode, and found something really, really interesting.

UPDATE: I changed this map a little bit to make it have a better look and easier. 

 

As promised, here it comes. Ironjavelin Challenge. 

 

"A combined army of unknown origin has invaded Southern Africa and established forward bases. They equipped themselves with exotic weapons from their mixed technology and are about the march forward. Don't get crushed."
 
Ironjavelin Challenge is a mix faction challenge against (3 of the) offensive subfactions. 
 
Put ironjavelin.map in /Maps/Custom folder, and stringtable12.csf in Mental Omega root folder. Access this map in Standard game mode. You and your ally are at location 1 and 2, and the enemies are China at 3, Pacific Front at 4, and Haihead at 5. Recommended color for enemy is Magenta. 
 
Again, this is the first time I made a map, so glitches may happen. However I test-run the map and everything seems to work just fine, with no malfunction observed up to now. This should be playable and actually not that hard (maybe easier than Revolution or Heavyobject, but most likely harder than the average). 
 
I'm open to adjust its difficulty and other settings based on your feedback and if I got time I will upload a video of me playing this map some time later.
