Question about the new medic ifv and its effect on campaign

21 January 2018 - 12:47 AM

So because the next update adding a field medic ifv which heals infantry from the ifv, instead of repairing tanks like the engineer, what will be this effect on campaign missions.

Specifically, I'm talking about these two missions: Panic Cycle and Wrong Side in Allies Act 1

In Panic Cycle, u start off with a couple of units in the beginning, one of them being a repair ifv. If u undeploy the repair ifv, u will see that a medic will come out rather than a engineer. Due to this, u can basically heal ur tanks when ur medic is in the ifv, and if needed, you can also heal your infantry by ordering the medic out of the ifv. With the next update making it so that a medic in an ifv heals infantry rather than vehicles, u won't be able to heal ur tanks during the escort portion of this mission, making it a lot harder

Similarly, in Wrong Side, u get ifvs along with cavaliers from the tank drop after capturing the field bureau. You will also get an extra medic from the paradrops after capturing the field bureau. Thus u can order one of ur medics into the ifv to heal ur tanks, while keeping the other medic on foot to heal infantry.  But with this medic ifv change to healing infantry rather than vehicles, again, u will not be able to heal ur tanks after this update is in effect in these missions, if nothing else changes.

So my question is, will something be done to address these issues? I am very sure that the developers intended the ability to heal vehicles in these missions. Especially in Panic Cycle, in which the repair ifv is extremely important to repair your mirages tanks, due to the number of tanks you will fight along the way, i cannot imagine how one will be able to pass the escort part of the mission with some way of repairing your mirages. I found that if i use infantry to lead the way, they get shreded by the amount of tigrs and especially borrilos.
