You just got countered. Mass trash infantry is one way to destroy a Mastermind :D

But seriously though. You have the option to kill, grind, or store them in Reactor

 

 

Sometimes large scale battles involving Masterminds become extremely chaotic, not to mention there are alot of things that can counter a Mastermind. Especially when fighting the Russians or Chinese.

Would it be OP if the PsiCorps Mastermind was limited to 3 units like the Dybbuk Seizer & Psychic Tower? Its a pain to manage and frequently kills itself against infantry. I usually just forgo making Masterminds and just create Epsilon Elites when my Cloning Vat is up. It could make a good buff for PsiCorps.

Biggest issue with defensive play and turtling in general is that you are ceding map control. It works against AI as they have predictable attack patterns and they attack in waves instead of one big push. Gems and the highest concentration of ores are usually far from your base so you lose alot on the economy.

Always strive for map control. Harass unguarded miners, try doing some timing pushes (but learn to not over commit).

On the topic on Kirovs' we could add a point defense weapon like a flak cannon that targets air and ground then increase price or decrease health accordingly.
