hope that this means that you are back Cel :thumbsupsmiley: T3A miss you a lot

I've had a (busy) week off and have been at home. I'll be going back to school tommorrow though, so don't expect me around for a while again.

i actually meant for infantry

They'll both use the same upgrade (it'll probably simply be called "Shields" rather than "Horse Shields". Current concept for Greenwood Spears also includes a shield, so that'll make a third unit.

don't know why, but I'm seeing some nighty'blueish site :thumbsupsmiley:

Current colour scheme is black and brown/tan (black because it's easier to work with renders on black, and there's plenty of brown art from the current site that can be used). Not set in stone, of course.

as for Isengards elite units.... Isengard could do with a toggle unit, or just some heavy melee units... like the ones with those cool helmets :crazed:

edit: Posted Image

That's the look I was going for. I'll still have to decide whether I want them to be toggle or sword + shield...

but when it is an upgrade it is cool.
will you put that concept in other units too?
or only the guardians?

Amroth's Knights also have a shield upgrade.

About Isengard, are you saying that the Crossbows will be the Elite Elite unit, or just an elite archer? Because in my opinion it doesn't make sense to have them as the Elite unit, just because it would ruin the theme that you've been building up with the Eilte units of the other factions.

Well... Gondor has already broken said theme, having two almost Elite Elite units.

For the Elite unit, maybe something that has both melee and ranged, or just melee (keeping with the aforementioned theme), and I'm not refering to the Uruk Scouts again. :p Maybe just call them something simple, e.g. 'Elite Uruk Warriors', and make them part of the Helm's Deep army. That's my opinion on the matter.

You know, why not? It isn't crazy original, but like I was getting any better ideas anyway. And maybe there is some originality in the idea anyway: there are no other weapon-toggle evil units. It's settled.

So Celeglin, with all this new work that's popping up in this thread (and your ideas) will you make a new website for TLT? 'Cause these forums are far too crowded with all your past work (and other things I won't bother to mention), and I can't really see anything being added to the TEA site.

Way ahead of you. I have most of the hero pages done and am moving on to the unit pages now.

Sorry if I sound like an ass, but why do so many people ask if things are SUPPOSED to be INVISIBLE? Like... it just blows my mind.

A) Yes, all of Gondor is now high-res and pretty-like. You'll get to see them in the next release (they're just high-res versions of EA's stuff [except the Fountain Guard], so you'll only notice the difference when you zoom in). For those who had the last internal beta, I finally finished the Fountain Guard shields.

B) I'd love to reskin the Yeomen with the Rohirrim/Eorlingas skin, but they use different texture mapping, so it won't simply be a matter of slapping on the skin. Oh well, I'll get it done at some point.

C) Lurtz will stay without a new skin. I did a bit of Lurtz skinning for RA, and I never want to do it again.
