So I am able to get the game to work fine, however BFME2 and ROTWK both are not working with widescreen. I downloaded a widescreen mod and uploaded it to my program folder but it isn't working. Any advice? Or am I supposed to be using the normal screen mode?

Thanks!

Did you adjust your resolution in your options.ini file?

It's set to the correct Resolution, (1920x1080) which is technically widescreen, however the game is "cut off" on both sides and resolution is kind of crammed in there.

Special thanks to all of the instructions.

If you follow the direction to the letter then it really does work.

FYI for Windows 10 users, I found the easiest way to access the folder was by copying :"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming"  (p.s. make sure you replace your username instead of "USERNAME") into the Search bar at the bottom.

Once I did that it popped right up. For some reason when I tried going through Run or File Explorer i couldn't locate the file.

Another note is my file name was "My Battle for Middle-Earth Files" not BFME.

Something else that wasn't quite clear, is that you need to save the options.ini file in the parent folder NOT in the Maps folder that you create.

Hope this helps someone and I look forward to playing online with everyone soon!

I have been looking everywhere in this forum for the instructions for fixing the options.ini file. Would you mind re-posting the steps for that? or possibly provide the link to the discussion board that covers that fix?

I grew up with these games and am SO thrilled at what you guys have done with this. I fixed all other issues, but am still getting the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION when attempting to run the program (even as admin).

Thank you in advance for your time!

*This is for BFME1 btw*
