I don't think my point was so hard to understand, players which get a small punishment will very likely not tollerate others doing what they have been caught for. So they automatically will spread your words and help you to keep your servers clean.

Don't get me wrong... in this Keskilla case here, it is absolutelly ok to give a long ban.

Don't act like EA was superstrict in this cases, i play this game to long to know that bans 99.9% never happened.

«Comming down hard on this type» is what you should maybe rethink a bit. A simple black and white solution is easy for you but can be bad for the community itself. You will always have some grey sheeps in a community, as i said most will accept and stop it when they get warned. Giving players a chance to proove they have changed will result in a bigger community with more fair players. For a punished player its also way more likely that he does not want that others come away with the thing he was punished for. He could basically help to spread your words, i think you get my point.

It could be simple, just lower the ban-time from 2 months to maybe some days or a week, this way you do not have to send out warnings and the effect would more or less be the same. Of course if he had done it before and not changed his attitude, then scale up the punishment.

I could understand the harsh system in a way, or at least i know what an admins job is, some players cost you the last piece of patience. But as far i think, a to harsh punishment will just force them to stay away forever, most players love the game... warnings will do a pretty good job in keeping your server clean and still have a growing community. Some guys do that kind of stuff because they think nobody watches them, most of them will stop it if they realize that there is someone watching it.

This guy here was not hacking, he was exploit-using, a huge difference in my eyes. Warn him first, if he don't learn ban him for 3 days... if he still does not learn double the ban each time. When a guy really hacks the game with some sort of additional program, give him an instant permaban.

Your admin live is much easier like that, alot less time to invest.
