On another note of bug report, I set up an AI skirmish yesterday on my actual Windows 7 machine and experienced two glitches. One was a fatal error about ten minutes into a game on Dimension W.
And then shortly after I set up a game on Siegfried's Schnetfreud (butchered that spelling) where it was me with one Easy AI pacific front ally vs a Medium AI confederation. The opponent AI never mobilized. It had all its starting units standing around the ConYard not doing anything. I sent a solider to attack one of their soldiers and it seemed to kick them into gear but by the time I realized what was going on I was so far ahead it wasn't even fun steamrolling them with a single MADMAN. Issue didn't present itself again when I reset the map.
Will publish syringe logs when I get back home.

*Stuff*
From what I heard, virtual machine cannot work because of how MO client works (though I only heard that it's Wine's case). On the other hand, the game suddenly closing problem sounds like antivirus problem disallowing MO syringe to run. If you have any antivirus, make sure you add the folder into exception
That would make sense since Wine variants got it to at least run, albeit it really slowly.
Not sure why VMWare wouldn't work if its a full Windows install but oh well. Think I'd have better luck installing Windows directly on the drive? If so, will MO work on XP? XP lets you set a much smaller hard drive size than 7 so I would prefer that if MO is the only thing I plan to have on that partition.

Hi Guys, first time poster, long time C&C player.
So to make a long story short I am attempting a real pain of a setup and making very little progress at the home stretch.
Trying to run MO3.3.3 on my MBPr running OSx 10.13.5 through VMWare Fusion 10.1.2 running Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 32bit.
I have access to every possible version of Command & Conquer ever made. Original CD's I still have, downloads off the interwebz, and Origin that it pains me to say I paid for (CDkeys.com for $6 ) So I figure between all of these options I should be in good shape. I figured wrong.
The furthest I have gotten is getting YR1.001 to run natively on my Mac through Crossover. The cursor seems to flash very annoyingly and game speed is insanely slow to the point that its basically unplayable even though spec-wise my laptop should be able to run this game in 100 instances at the same time. MO will not load in any way natively on the mac. I have tried Crossover, PlayOnMac, & Porting Kit with no real luck on any of them. Today, I decided to give the VM a shot and if I can't get that figured out I will try again via BootCamp and see if that affords me a bit more stability.
The VM gives me an issue more consistent with what I have read others have come across on Windows so i am hoping a creative solution can be reached. I chose to install Origin and download C&C RA2YR through there as I felt it would be most compatible with Win7 and least likely to have a modified gamemd.exe. I disabled in-game Origin for RA2 and command line "-W" to sever ties (I think thats what it does) from the exe and Origin. Origin still comes up every time I try to boot YR on its own. I can never get it to play. Best I have reached is the black screen with sound and cursor but never past that.
On Allied Act One Mission 6 for some reason the Skirmish briefly appears but I have no control over the screen.
I have tried just about every fix I could find on the net and nothing has seemed to make any difference.
Here is a somewhat exhaustive list of everything I have tried with no success:
Compat settings on Gamemd, Syringe, and MOClient. XP SP3 compatibility, Run as Admin, & Run in 256 colors which actually seemed to get me further and possibly what allowed mission 6 to load.
DxWnd dropped into game folder and configured as instructed.
Set MOClient to windowed mode and tried every possible resolution combo and renderer I could think of with zero improvement across the board.
Ensuring XNA and .NET Framework 4.0 are installed and in proper directories.
Updated from 3.3.0 to 3.3.3 and tried most of these solutions at both versions.
Here is Syringe log which from what I've read in this thread is indicative of a patched gamemd.exe but unless Origin patched it themselves, it is not.
