I HAVE READ THE HOW-TO THREAD

I am using the normal version of the game, I am on Steam. I have the latest Red Alert 3 version (1.12).
 
I do not receive any kind of error when I open the game up. It shows the small square that pops up just before the actual games open, the one that literally just has the Soviet logo and Red Alert 3 on it. The game usually after that opens up and goes into full screen. However, whenever I open it up, this box hangs for a little and then just disappears and closes. I doubt you need to know the time, but it was on the 30th of July, 2014, at 23:30 (British time).
