xebex, your error sounds like you didn't install the mod in RA2YR directory. It should work with all versions of the game.

Aah thanks i guess i misunderstood   "It does not have to be a directory tied to the Yuri's Revenge registry"  

But i'll reinstall it then into the directory

Edit: can i install it in a seperate map/folder in the directory? 

like: C:\games\Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge\Mental Omega 

(since  C:\games\Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge would be the place where RA2 YR is installed)

Edit 2: 

installed directly into C:\games\Red alert 2...

got the error: application error: the application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close application
