Do people here have any experience modding DoW in Linux?

Steam's recent Linux support is why I reinstalled the games in the first place and now I'm interested in modding myself. The games, mods and Corsix's Mod Studio (from what little I've done so far) all work well. However, it seems that several of the Dark Crusade Mod Tools refuse to work. For example, the Object Editor and the Mission Editor can be launched with wine but crash when I try to open a file or try to create new one.

Is modding on Linux possible or did I just mess up on my end?

I've been looking for a working download link for the last version of the BFG mod:

The links on the mod db are dead and google doesn't show me any alternatives. I figured this would be the best place to ask around.
