i dont know if you already tried this, but unistall TEA and BFME. Just totally start over. Mine didnt work for awhile either and it did that and it workd

well i am just a newbie skinner but i do know that nertea has a great tutorial for scail mail which has the same properties of chain mail. Here is the link Scale Mail
