Hey Arkhan, is it possible to activate the Heroes mod in the campaign? I tried out the Heroes stuff in MP and a Skirmish game and love it, works fine. However, in the campaign I don't see the "Regular", "Experianced", etc on the right side when selecting a single squad. That of course leads me to believe that it isn't on. I would love to see it in action in the campaign, can it be done or am I just missing something?

Thanks for the report Serpentofshadow! I would have prefered better news, but since I can't do anything to fix the problem, we'll release it that way and it's up to the player if he uses the SCAR scripts. Both SCAR options are deactivated by default, so I don't expect much problems with the default setting.


Well, when it DID work the AI was amazing. The heroes mod is also a lot of fun (though still getting used to/making sense of it).

One other thing my friend (that I played with the other night) checked out this morning... For some reason Imperial Guard is greyed out in his dropdown box whenever he runs the AI mod. I had him run regular DC and it worked fine. He's not terribly upset (because he never plays IG and probably never will), and I myself have not experianced this, but I thought it best to report anyway.

Is the Release Canidate exactly the same as the release, or have there been any changes made? Basicly, do I need to download it when it is officially released?

Ok, was able to get a couple games in. Started on Standard difficulty with Standard resource rate.

All of the following games were played (or at least attempted) on the 6 player map Mortalis. If it is not a standard map from the DoW/WA/DC games, then I got it from www.warhammermaps.com.

First game: 3 human players (Necron, Orks, Tau) and 2 AI (random). Settings: Annihilation, Game Timer, AI SCAR Support, and Heroes. Game crashes with a Sync-error on start.

Second game: 3 human players (Necron, Orks, Tau) and 2 AI (random). Settings: Annihilation, Game Timer, and Heroes. Game crashes with a Sync-error on start.

Third game: 3 human players (Necron, Orks, Tau) and 2 AI (random). Settings: Annihilation and Game Timer. AI turned out to be Space Marines and Tau. There were no problems and we lost because our third player could not hold his ground at a critical time. AI seemed more intelligent then the original Standard setting in version 2.1.

Fourth game: 2 human players (Necron and Orks) vs 1 AI on Standard (to test out the Heroes). Settings: Annihilation, Game Timer, and Heroes. No problems, but I forgot to record the game.


I thought the sync errors were eradicated. :(

These releases are getting faster than I can keep up with >_< Ah well, today I have the time so I'll go through thoroughly.


Indeed! Speedy updates i've noticed. :p I'll try and get some testing in tonight.

Okay, first a happy new year to everyone. I'm back from my christmas holidays for half a week now, and although I wasn't very active in the forums, I made some serious progress with the upcoming 2.2 release of the mod.


Very exciting news. I have been playing with 2-3 other people regularly against the AI and I know my friends will be glad to hear about the accomplishments you have achieved. Looking forward to the update. :D
