The Unrest Cure

Now - after running the game perfectly yesterday!!!! - RotWK dies upon launch with the same reason that Emsi states above.  So neither BFME2 nor RotWK works anymore : (  Any suggestions to correct this?

EDIT: Eureka!  RotWK would die as it would not play except when BFME2 was set to "Patch 1.06" and NOT "Patch 1.09".  Changing that back let it work.  Still no luck with BFME2, even with the ini file correction.

EDIT 2: As of right now ... BFME2 is playing well in HD!  I deleted and re-installed and re-followed the listed steps again, and it works.  There must have been some install error or bad data on first install.  

So I've installed BFME2 and RotWK, but only RotWK will play.  BFME2 opens with the splash image, but never loads and just quits the process with no explanation.  Witch King loads and the game runs just fine.  I am running the games on Windows via Bootcamp on an iMac.  Could a graphics driver issue (the iMac has a discrete AMD Radeon R9 M380) affect the base game but not the installed expansion?  It is fully updated, but generally Bootcamp drivers don't get new updates very often.  Could updating BFME2 to the HD version possibly help with running it?
