Hi guys n gals.

I've just bought a new gaming laptop and am having some problems trying to load up Zero Hour. On my old laptop it had a built in CD player (yes that old lol) and I bought Command & Conquer the first decade and installed it. I eventually downloaded Gentool and somehow figured out how to play online after watching a tutorial. I'm not very good at this stuff.

After installing the CD to my new computer with an external Optical Drive; I thought that I had followed the right procedure on my new laptop which has a far higher spec. It's a ASUS TUF FA706 17.3" gaming laptop.

When I go to try to play the game I keep getting "Please make sure you have Directx 8.1 or higher installed. Also verify your video card meets the minimum requirements. The technician we spoke to in Currys told us that this laptop had more then enough spec to play the game. I've also downloaded Directx 12 but I'm still getting the same message. Strangely some of the other games from the CD play on my new computer.

Any ideas much appreciated folks.
