Cheers DC that helps a lot, following on from this; can i assign each filename as a variable without the extension?

And can i only return files in the directory with a certain extension i.e. .txt or .php?

You can't due to the nature of how PHP works. PHP is server side, javascript is client side. And the only way AFAIK to do something with regard to whether it is off is to use <noscript> tags, these display their contents only when javascript is not enabled.


Ok, thanks for the reply. Is there any other way to check for javascript?
