make the blade shinier, there wouldn't be big shadows on the blade itself :p

Why bother? EA's shield is quite sufficient for a base unit, in my opinion.

Now, I was looking back through this topic, and I was reminded of your problem with having elladan and elrohir as one unit. I was thinking. What if you had it so that you purchase one, and the other spawns with him as a slaved unit...? that way they would both always be at each others side and you wouldn't have to deal with the crappy hero-horde code...

just a thought...

I gave up on that when I was told it was okay to have more than 8 heroes per faction. Now I have Elladan and Elrohir as separate heroes, who gain a leadership buff when near each other (if you look back in this topic and find the screenshot with the new Elven hero lineup, their mutual leadership shows up as that smoky blue glow around them) ;) .

He looks a bit *too* battle damaged, but the detail is excellent. Now that you know how to map, you should be able to figure out how to start minimizing stretching too :p

By battle damage, I assume you mean the texture of the metal? That's just what I do to relieve boring, flat surfaces :p . I guess it is a bit much in this case...particularly on the stomach...but it looks great ingame :p :

They look amazing, but even ingame I agree with Nertea. There are better ways to relieve dull metal surfaces. :p
