To be more specific, the eyes in particular are just a bit funny and don't really have much shape. They just look drawn in. It's a first model, though, so criticism, so long as it is constructive, is probably helpful. Bashing is unwarranted.

Since most criticism so far has been centered on the face, here's a closeup so people can tell me exactly what they think is wrong:

Posted Image

For the eyes: are they the wrong shape (this might be slightly intentional)? Wrong size? Too far apart? Are the eye sockets not defined enough? The eyelids? What is wrong with them?

Well he has no hint of eyelashes or eyelids, that might be something. The irises may also be too big

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

It's blurry. Whilst I can see some good work in terms of colour and creating the shape of the face, it's blurry. I also think the cheek wrinkles are too obvious. There's also no shadow where the helmet covers his face, and his eye sockets could do with some shadow.

My cross check source :p

As you can see, hopefully, your eye sockets aren't defined enough, for example, and you just basically miss more depths around the eyes
It's like there's just eyes, and no more...
And you don't have to have eyeliner for him

For High Elves I think I'm going to go with violet and amber eyes.

Grey is most realistic and true to Tolkien lore.

Well, these aren't meant to be Tolkien Elves :p . I have other Elves in mind who will have gray eyes.

Finally finished him off with sword and shield (and rigging):

I also plan to do an alternate design scheme in more golden colors, with sunburst imagery. Hope you like :) !

Looking good :p , except that all the edges seem rough....though I think that is just the picture, not the model. :xcahik_: Definitely can't wait to see the alternate design! :)

The rough edges are just W3D Viewer's lack of antialiasing showing more obviously than usual.

I'd love to see more... ;)

Very good! :p
Though perhaps you can add something to his helmet, just like the "Peter Jackson"-elves.

he's not going for LOTR, so making it like "Peter Jackson" elves defeats the purpouse.
