Iraq had them at the beggining of 2003. Saudi has them. I'm prety sure Isrial does too.
They don't have to build em... they only have to buy em. Its always been that way... In the real world almost none of the countries that would make the GLA build their own weapons of vehicles. They lack the industry (there are exceptions). But they have lots of oil and can buy anything they want.
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

This is not only about the heli's ! A helicopter was just an idea, some liked it and some not... My point is not in the helicopter, but that gla are going more and more unpowered ! Making them cheaper and faster (to build) not make them equal to the others ... So i think that a good refresh of their army should fit perfect !!! Not very powerfull units but good enough to stand in a fight ! You know what ? An gla Assault destroyer tank (cost:4000) can hardly get out alive from one emperor (cost:1000)....[According to the latest Pendaelose's version prices]What GLA country has the ability to build or aquire helecopters???

Actualy I think in the very last version I dropped the cost down to 3000 in the Destroyer, but I've also had one destroyer kill TWO emperor tanks by itself.
I think they need base defenses much more than they need units. The proposed rebuild of Assault GLA will go a long way toward making a stronger more agressive GLA option. Addin stronger defenses to all GLA armies will also add a whole lot to all GLA

Yes, it WILL happen. Even if Creator does not I will include it in my next release. I've not had a ton of free time the last week or so, but that will pass and progress will contenue again.
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Thats good news Pendaelose but what are your first ideas ? The idea from which you will start powering him (gla assault) ??? A helicopter ? A remake of all the buggies and trucks into armored vehicles ? Tank barriers in all the tanks ? With what you will work first ?

Thats been talked about alot in this thread. I want to do a total rebuild of the unit list to include alot more tanks and artillery, many of soviet and chinees manufacture. Additional plaes and maybe a chopper. The Mobs, Suicide units, and fast attack units should be removed.Thats good news Pendaelose but what are your first ideas ? All Drone planes must be stealth... Cause they have everything that a stealth plane needs !i don't know if this is bomber and if it's stealthVery good !!! This looks like a bomber one hah ????

Come on Stealth drones will just over power cyber gen.
let one drone be stealth and replace the Stealth fighter...
the X-Jet really doesn't need much replaceing (at least in Remix) because the A10 does it better. an interceptor UCAV would be helpful and cool. stealth or not.

Ok this should work... But they will have smaller cost from the normal planes and be litttle faster ! But their weapons should be equal to the old ones ! Viator do you have any ucav ready ? I think that ucavs have no need of skinning ! JUst, a grey color (maybe) and a few icons (the usa symbol etc !)Come on Stealth drones will just over power cyber gen.

No, 2 UCAVs and a new figheter are plenty.
i've also Downloaded a f-14 and an f-16 model. i've not looked at them in game, at a glance they look pretty good.
We do need a drop pod... somehitng simple. any model that looks like it can fall from orbit, open, deploy troops, then disapear.

you mean sth like container with parachutes?
no, more like n artillery shell with an opening animation. Dawn of war has a perfect example... the orbital relay calls troops in on drop pods.
