here's a few ideas (WARNING LONG POST)

Regional Army's- more or less just units used on maps and maybe campaigns

(inspired from Mercenaries)
North Korea
Sungri Scout- basic jeep with mg
BTR Scout- armoured car with room for 4 has hmg
BTR APC- armoured wheeled apc room for 8 also has hmg
BMP 1- 73mm cannon room for 6
T55- 100mm cannon
T62- 120mm cannon and 14.7mm mg
ZSU 53- has twin 53mm AA cannons
SA8 Gaskin- has six anti air missles
Troop Truck- basic truck holds 8
Fuel Truck- suicide vehicle
Radar Jammer- ECM vehicle
MI 17- Transport 1 tank/ 2 jeeps/ 6 troops
MI 2- room for 4 has rocket pods
HIND D- room for 5 has hmg rocket pods and missles
MD 560- light attack has minigun and at missles
Infantry has AK-47's or RPGs

UN
Humvee- same as USA with UN markings
M1126 APC- holds 6 has hmg
Avenger- AA unit but with missles
M3 APC- next gen bradley prototype
M1A2- same as US
YAH 56- same as US
UH 60- same as US but only transport
Infantry have M4's or AT/AA missles launchers

Russian Mafia (gotta love those mafia)
Mafia SUV- has hmg holds 5
MG Technical- same as gla
TOW Technical- same just with a tow
GL Technical- same just with a grenade launcher
MD 350- same design as the other MD just with hmg's and rocket pods
Kamov 40 Hokum- same as the china wip
MI 26 Cargo- huge heli bigger than helix holds 1 tank or 3 jeeps or 8 troops
BMP-3- has 100mm main gun 30mm turret mounted cannon
Infantry armed with smg's and RPG's

M1025- Hummer
K966- Hummer with tow only
KIFV- holds has 30mm autocannon
KIFV S- ECM vehicle
LHX- commanche but more prototype not designed for stealth and has no rockets

BRDM 2- has AT missles
T-80- has 130mm cannon and a missle launcher

Tech Building Mafia Black Market
Here you can buy vehicles to be delivered
All light vehicles and apcs but no tanks or anything higher ( Mafia only uses the Mi 26)

Anyway I think it would be released as matter, so if a dude gets sucked in he comes back out as actual matter, but it would be dust particles so small you can't see them.

Once I called in a Fuel Air Bomb at the Chinese base. Completely leveled the place.

I saw that once. Doesn't look at all like a Fuel Air explosion.

Crazy idea.

GLA Berserker Technical:

A cheaply priced regular GLA technical manned by not so well trained, not so bright, and not so obedient soldiers to the GLA generals or cause. These units go off on their own tangent, literally.

Once built they are not in control by the player, and move around the map randomly, hunting enemy units. Their aim sucks, so accuracy would be low. They do not advance in rank, or get any salvage create upgrades, or add any cash to the GLA coffers.

If you really wanted to be mean, how about this. Remember when Vanguard coded the two different type of Blackhawks to be built off of one button, randomly? Well one could use this trick here for the technicals. When you build a normal technical you would either get a good normal version of the technical coming from the arms dealer structure, or a berserker version of the technical. You just would never know what's coming next.

GLA Crazy Idea
Drug Dealer

To gain money, the GLA have begun trafficking drugs. You can use him to make $20 a second or sell them to your troops so they fight better. They might get addicted, though.

He's involved in the London underground (and no, not the transit system). He goes to London every night. Nobody knows what he does there though.

Anyway, I still say we have some type of thing where the GLA traffics drugs for money. It'd be funnier to watch rebels use them, though.

How about the random idea for crazy or normal applies to Rebels? They could be normal, with good aim(as far as terrorists go) or high, where they shoot everything in sight but constantly buy drugs from you to get you more money?

I like the random idea, but I don't think it should be on technicals.


New idea: USA Satellite Scan variation

Instead of picking a spot and revealing it, or revealing the entire map, the USA could get a satellite that regularly flies over the entire map and reveals about 90% of it with each pass? ot all at once, just moving across like a Raptor that can't be shot down with a very, very long line of sight. To code it, make it an invisible, indestructable, non-targetable air unit that regularly flies over the map. The GPS thing isn't fair, but sat scan kinda sucks and is worthless when you get a GPS.
